Hi everyone! *waves uncontrollably* I have missed you all!! *looks around* What.... no one has noticed I have been gone?!? *sniffles* But...But.... Oh wait I think I see one hand way way WAY in the back.........Anyhoo ;0) I have been gone for over 2 weeks due to lack of Internet usage. Yes I am one of those who live in the middle of nowhere (well at least the utility companies think i do) and I am limited to very few options for Internet service, and unfortunately with my Internet I only get 5GB of usage per month. So I ran out wayyyyy to early this last month. *shakes fists* Damn you Facebook Cityville......Damn you addictive games! LOL

Team Bubby is back at it again this year!
Team Bubby was put together in memory of my Bestfriends (tiffy, pictured above) grandma. Bubby means Grandma in Hebrew. This year I have made a personal goal of raising $200. I have ALSO challenged myself to BLOW PAST that and reach $500 by this friday Oct 1st ! I know I am last minute with this, But I could so use all of your help to spread the word! CSN Review and Giveaway Opportunity !!!

I am so happy JoJosBookCorner was asked to do a review for CSN. One of my favorite things to look at is bedroom furniture sets to decorate your home!?! You just cant feel anymore at home than a cozy bedroom! To me its kinda like your own personal getaway within your home. Ya know!
So i spent a numerous amount of time looking through CSN's stores (which they have over 200+ to find anything and everything your little heart can desire) to try and find that special piece that screams JoJo. After searching and searching and searching i found that perfect piece to add to my bedroom!

Welcome to a celebration of all things BOOK!
A common question among book bloggers worldwide, and one that is often times answered with a resounding YES! Let's face it...we are readers at heart. The written word is our bread and butter, the Abbott to our Costello, the Yin to our Yang. It's one past time that can be shared by anyone, anywhere, any time...and it is helping to make connections across the miles. Talk to any book blogger and you will find friends in their reading circle from not only their local area but other states and other countries around the world. The beauty of the internet to shrink the world in this case is a good thing!
So, why did we bring you here?
To kick off what we hope to be an annual (potentially bi-annual) event called...
This event is a culmination of the creative forces behind two fellow book bloggers....GMR of Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers and The1stdaughter of There's A Book....which just goes to show you how "dangerous" an idea can be when you truly put your mind to it and have a good friend to conspire with....it turns into something with actual substance!
Before we get into the details, we would be remiss if we did not recognize the event that helped to spark the idea behind what you see here as well as it's creator. Bookmarks up to Lynda of Between the Pages, and her bi-annual event, BLOGMANIA. It was our combined experience with her inaugural event which led us down our own road of creation to bring a similar event to life with one exception....this one is exclusive to book bloggers!
So what is it all about?
This is a celebration about books, but more so for the bloggers that help tell the world about them. Where did you find out about your latest read? The store...a website...the publisher...how about a book blog? Chances are if you are online or have a book blog yourself, some of your future reads came from your fellow bloggers. Whether given a glowing review or something a bit more critical, the post drew your attention and made you want to find out more. This event is to celebrate book bloggers round the world by shining a light on their efforts, spreading the word about their sites for future follows on your reading rounds, and have a little contest fun along the way!
Two key points...
1. Sites participating will be limited to book blogs only.
2. Each site will hold a contest over a 48 hour period...more specifically, this first event will take place
Friday, July 23rd, 2010 and run through Saturday, July 24th, 2010.

It's a PINKS ALL OUT Weekend!

Hi everyone *waves* Hope you all had a great weekend!!! I had a FABULOUS weekend!!! One of the guys I work with got to run for the hit show PINKS ALL OUT this weekend, and the hubs and i got to go! Hubs was his "pit crew mechanic". And we totally had a blast! ( click on pics for a closer look )

We hit the road friday morning, for the short 2 hour drive to Topeka , Kansas . We got there shortly after 11am, and let me tell ya it was HAWT! 
We unloaded the car and set up the tent, and sat around for a bit, waiting for Bruces turn for spec checks. they started around noon , running 25 a half hour. we were # 355 o.O
ClassesB - 12.00 - 12.49
C - 11.50 - 11.99
D - 11.00 - 11.49
E - 10.50 - 10.99
F - 10.00 - 10.49
G - 9.50 - 9.99
H - 9.00 - 9.49
I - 8.01 - 8.99
J - 8.0 - and FASTER
Line up for the 2 test runs on friday. Bruce was in class A which was 12.50 - 12.99 
Bruce got through the first test run with a 12.78 which was a little slow for him, due to some problems. Unfortunatly we had major malfunctions with the starter and didn't get to run the 2nd test run. 
We had 1 hour to rush back to where we were parked to grab the truck to tow bruce back to our space, AND make it to the parts store before they closed so my hubs could get the parts to fix the car.
Day #2 , Race day line up!
YAY!!! Hubs and Bruce got the car fixed friday night. So Bruce got to run!!!
Double checking everything on the car, keeping it cool before the races actually started.
Everyone decided i needed to be in atleast one of the pics since i was behind the camera for all the photos. So here is my Hubs and Me waiting for the races to start.

2nd run on the "Arm Drop" run 12.51 YAY!!!
The drivers all gathered around to chat with Rich after everyone finished with their 2nd race. This was where they announced the group of 32 who would actually make the finals. and it was the low 11's group :0(
But thats ok, we still had a wonderful weekend!! Not sure who won yet, cause hubs got hawt in the sun we had to go back to the hotel in the air, so we have to wait till air day on Oct 28th to ficure out who won too.
