A vampire soldier weary of life…
Centuries ago, Sebastian Wroth was turned into a vampire—a nightmare in his mind—against his will. Burdened with hatred and alone for ages, he sees little reason to live. Until an exquisite, fey creature comes to kill him, inadvertently saving him instead.
A Valkyrie assassin dispatched to destroy him…
When Kaderin the Cold Hearted lost her two beloved sisters to a vampire attack long ago, a benevolent force deadened her sorrow—accidentally extinguishing all of her emotions. Yet whenever she encounters Sebastian, her feelings—particularly lust—emerge multiplied. For the first time, she’s unable to complete a kill.
Become competitors in a legendary hunt…
The prize of the month-long contest is powerful enough to change history, and Kaderin will do anything to win it for her sisters. Wanting only to win her, forever, Sebastian competes as well, taking every opportunity--as they travel to ancient tombs and through catacombs, seeking relics around the world--to use her new feelings to seduce her. But when forced to choose between the vampire she's falling for and reuniting her family, how can Kaderin live without either?
My Thoughts
This second installment of the Immortals After Dark Series is action packed and takes you along on a contest of sorts that rivals the Amazing Race.
The main female character in this book is Kaderine, a Valkyrie. She is my second favorite in the entire series. She is better known as Kaderine the Cold Hearted. Called so because she seemingly has no conscience when she kills. A situation she has taken advantage of and uses to rid the world of Vampires. She is the best warrior in her coven.
The main male character in this book is Sabastian Wroth, a centuries old Estonian warrior. From Ms. Cole's description he is smokin hot! He has found his Bride in Kaderine and wants nothing more than to take care of her and protect her. Dang...why can't we find men like this today??
This book kept me on the edge of my seat for most of it and then took my breath away with the hot hot hot love scenes. I really love how well Kresley Cole can pull you into her books and she makes it near impossible to put the book down!! Again...make sure you have the next installment ready when you finish this one. Like the first book, it has a peek at the next book in the back.
6 Hottie Follwers Thoughts:
Thank you for the review. Sounds like a great read. I am collecting these books to read all at once, which sounds wise after your review. I adore kick ass heroines!
Jojo suggested this series to me, in fact she bought me the series for Christmas this past year. I love 'em!
I really like this series and can't wait for Demon In The Dark to come out next week. All the Wroth brothers are great.

I sure can't argue with that Stephanie!!
HI! I'm your newest follower :)
I love this author! Her books are amazing. While I was waiting for Jeanine Frost to come out with some more books, I came across Kresley Cole and instantly was hooked to her books!
