Day #24 Birthday Bash with Lois Greiman
Jun 10, 2010
Welcome to Day # 24 of JoJos 30 Day Birthday Bash. Today we have Author Lois Greiman. Help me give a warm welcome to Lois!
Lois Greiman
I’ve discovered that I have an obsessive personality. There is a whole host of things I obsess about. In fact, sometimes I think it’s the only way I get things done. That’s how I got my first book published. I was absolutely obsessed with the idea of writing and couldn’t stop until I had convinced some poor editor that the only way to get rid of me was to buy my manuscript. Since then I’ve had about 30 novels published. (A testimony to the fact that I’m not just obsessive, I’m obnoxious.) Not One Clue was my latest…the sixth in the Chrissy McMullen mystery series. Accidental Seduction (How cute is this guy!!) my newest historical romance, will be released in October.
But books aren’t the only things I obsess about. Family is another thing. I’ve climbed mountains, run marathons, and done a bevy of other stupid things just to spend time with my kids.
Horses would also be toward the top of the list. Here are a few pictures of my babies. Adorable, spoiled, and much loved.
The environment is something else that I care deeply about. I’ve been to some breathtakingly beautiful places (mostly while dragging or being dragged by my kids) and I worry that these awe-inspiring regions will be swallowed up.
But I have to admit, every one of my obsessions has given me some wonderful memories. Whether it’s meeting readers at conferences, hiking through a rain forest in the dark, or scooping a friend onto the back of my little gray mare, my obsessions have served me well.
Hope yours do the same.
Happy, happy birthday, Jodie.

30 Hottie Follwers Thoughts:
I obsess about being on time. I obsess about reading a book in one maybe two sittings. I obsess (according to my husband) about my writing. No. No I don't have a problem. Why? :D

I obsess over exercise. I'm one of those that is miserable if I don't work out HARD every day. It was awful when going through the big C and having to lay around for a couple weeks after each surgery. I also obsess over being on time. Can't ever be late for anything. Have driven this into all three of my boys heads so that they are always early too.

Hi, Lois! Great post and pictures! My four food groups are coffee, chocolate, cheese and cookies. I love good coffee. It doesn't have to be the most expensive brand name, and actually sometimes those brands don't live up to their hype. Coffee has to taste and smell like real coffee. It's the one personal indulgence where I don't cut corners. The satisfaction is worth it!
Speaking of satisfaction, that is one AWESOME fella on the cover of "An Accidental Seduction"!!!

I obsess over books too. And my horses. Got a tattoo of my favourtie gelding on my shoulderblade so he will be with me always.
Hey guys, I can't even IMAGINE obsessing about being on time. Don't even know what that means...but chocolate...I'm with you on that one Virginia. :)
I obsess over the order of opening the programs on my work computer.
Right now I'm obsessing about finding a job. But normally, I'm obsessed with books - I can't get enough, even though I have plenty on my TBR shelf, I always want more. I guess I'm worried I'll run out of something to read, LOL. I'd love to add a copy of Charming the Devil to my book collection, that would be awesome.
I obsess over getting my work done on time and studying early. Some people may think its a bit too much but that's how I function.
Oh man I am loving the cover to "Accidental Seduction" that man is yum-my. Okay, now lets see, what is it I obsess over?...
The way I pack my books when I move. LOL. I just discovered this about myself, seeing as it is the first time in all the times I've moved that I have more than 4 books to my name. I have packed, and repacked, and even repacked the same 4 boxes of books because they weren't sitting how I wanted them... and I'm about to repack them again. {long story on why I have to, lol.}

I definitely obsess over books. I hate getting rid of any books and I constantly rearrange them on the shelves.

I obsess over books (buying, tracking what I've read, what books I still need to complete a certain series, etc etc) and I seem to obsess about checking my email. :)
Another recent (but not too serious) obsession of mine is Swag Bucks. In less than a month I've earned enough points to get 2 (and almost 3) $5 Amazon gift cards. My hubby says I'm obsessed, I say I'm... dedicated. ;)

Don't enter me in the contest. I already have the book on my keeper shelf. It is a great read. I absolutely adored the hero.
Sadly, I obsess about my iPhone - I get withdrawal symptoms when I'm not near it lol. Also, things have to be organized - I don't care if the house is dusted or vacuumed, but it MUST be organized.

I have a book obsession! It's my worst obsession. I crave them as I do chocolate. I have a travel obsession although I can't fulfill them all right now. I also have a photography and a geneaology obsession. I can't get enough of either one. I am constantly taking pictures and I am always on my computer looking up family history

Oh my goodness! That cover for An Accidental Seduction!! I love it!
About obsessing, it won't be a surprise, but I obsess about books!! You can never have too many books, even when you're running out of space!
Thank you for sharing the pics and thanks for the chance to win!!

As other posters have stated, I'm obsessed about books; I just can't help it. I'm also obsessed about punctuality. I'm always early to all apppointments and become annoyed with others who are late!
Thanks,

I try not to obsess over anything. I don't want to be OCD or stress out over anything too much. Usually if I have a deadline at school then I'll obsess a little, but that's about it.
Ddoogg04@aol.com
My latest obsession is reading.
I bought a book shelf recently and it is already full. Now I just have to read all the books on it. I can't read as fast as I buy. :)
