Tuesday Talking Teaser with Author Krista D Ball
Nov 2, 2010
Please help me welcome
She is reading from her newest release
By: Krista D Ball
Cursed, abused, and desperate to know her future, Dancing Cat sneaks a glimpse inside her tribe’s Sacred Bundle, a powerful source of spirit magic. Instead of the future, she sees her most powerful ancestor, Small Tree and incurs her wrath. Small Tree strips Dancing Cat of everything —her home, her identity, even her gender – and drops her in the middle of enemy lands.
Injured, and in a strange, new body, she is befriended by Bearclaw who is on a spirit quest. He offers her assistance and asks for nothing in return; a kindness Dancing Cat had forgotten existed. She struggles to weave a path around the obstacles of friendship, identity, and longing in order to survive her eventual return home to face even further punishment.
Now here's Krista

8 Hottie Follwers Thoughts:
Loved the reading, Krista. It's nice to put a voice to the face. You're up on my blog today as part of your tour. Best of luck with your promotions. I know this is a great read...I've read it. :)
What great pictures you paint with your words. This teaser works. I want to read the book, but you have such a great voice and expression, how about an audio book too?
Wishing you all the best with this interesting book.
That's kind, Janet, but I don't think so. It took me 10 minutes to do the reading and about 2 hours to clean it up afterwards. My nerves couldn't handle the torture!
Thanks for the teaser and reading Krista! I enjoyed hearing the story through your voice very much :-)
Once I participated in making an audiobook, my part was 37 minutes long, I still remember how many times I had to re-read and re-record that chapter, I felt like I knew the whole part by heart lol :-) You did a great job, especially for your first reading! :-)
Really enjoyed the excerpt! You sounded great!
Krista, what a great job you have done with your first reading. It was terrific. The story is captivating.
Well done.
Thanks everyone.
Stella - I started doing the record, but then ended up just stopping, respeaking, and editing out the mix up afterwards. Once I figured that out, it saved me a lot of time.
The only thing I wish I knew how to do is get rid of the "s" lisp.
Thank you so much Krista for sharing with us! You did and excellent job!
Would def. love to have you back again.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by!
*huggies*
