Never Again
Lucinda Rackmore is a witch cursed...
Desperation sends her to the last place anyone would think to find her ... the small Dragon-protected town of Nevermore, Texas. To escape the wrath of her ex-lover, she must plead her case with the town's Guardian---the man her family betrayed a decade ago.
Gray Calhoun is a wizard scorned...
Gray wants nothing to do with the Rackmores, especially not the spoiled younger sister of the woman who sacrificed him to a demon lord. But when Lucy shows up at his door begging for sanctuary, he can't turn her away.
Magic is love reborn...
An infamous Rackmore witch isn't the only trouble in town, either. Someone's creating demonic mayhem---and murdering citizens. Only with Gray and Lucinda working together, can they hope to defeat the dark forces that threaten Nevermore. And maybe along the way, they'll find that love is the strongest magic of all.
National bestselling, award-winning author Michele Bardsley is best known for her paranormal fiction--and her obsession with all things chocolate. She writes novels because its much more fun than housework, and yeah, she still hopes the dish fairies will arrive to scrub the plates in the sink. She lives in Texas with her son, where they are slaves to their numerous pets.
About You:
JJBC - Do you have any hobbies?
MB - I play the drums on Rock Band and I punch
out virtual bad guys on Fighters Uncaged
(via the Xbox Kinect). I also read. I love
reading books nearly as much as
I love writing them.
JJBC - What do you like to read?
MB - Just about everything (except technical manuals).
I like to read in almost every genre, from
science fiction to romance, and I particularly
enjoy supernatural settings and
paranormal characters.
JJBC - Can you tell us some of your favorite
books you've read?
MB - I get asked this question a lot and it's always
difficult to answer. Of course, I enjoy books by
authors who write within my genre, such as
MaryJanice Davidson, Richelle Mead, Dakota Cassidy,
and so forth. I also adore Christopher Moore,
Neil Gaiman, and Jeff Strand. I own all the Harry
Potter novels in hardcover. I'm also a huge fan of
Charlaine Harris, Patricia Briggs, and Jaye Wells.
JJBC - If you can meet any author in person
dead or alive, who would it be and why him/her?
MB - Shakespeare or Mark Twain because
talking to either one about writing would be awesome.
AAD:
JJBC - What part of AAD are you most
looking forward to?
MB - This is my first year attending, so I'm looking
forward to the entire event. I'm very excited!
JJBC - What do you hope to walk away
with from AAD?
MB - New readers, new experiences, and new books.
And chocolate. I always want to walk away with chocolate.
JJBC - Are you on any panels? if so can you tell us
which ones to look for you on?
MB - Yes, but I don't remember exactly which ones.
Um ... just looked for the dazed author clutching
books and Godiva. That'll be me.
Your Writing:
JJBC - How did you first get into writing?
Has it always been your dream?
MB - I decided I wanted to be a writer at age twelve,
and that's when I started really trying to pursue it.
I thought that I wanted to be a journalist, even though
I wrote a lot of poetry and fiction. Eventually, I turned
completely to the conquest of writing and publishing
novels. It took a while, but I finally sold to a
New York publisher and I've been going strong ever since.
JJBC - What genre do you write?
MB - I write adult paranormal romance as
Michele Bardsley and young adult paranormal
fiction as Michele Vail.
JJBC - Do you have any must haves when
you sit down to write?
MB - Coffee. Chocolate. Sometimes, music.
Mostly Breaking Benjamin or 30 Seconds to
Mars or Linkin Park. I don't know why I like to
create to angry songs, but there you go.
JJBC - Can you tell us how a typical writing
day for you is?
MB - I make coffee then I sit down and write.
I'll take breaks to check email and Facebook,
then go back to writing. I also have to work in
other obligations both as an author and as a single
parent. Some days have more chaos than others,
and I just try to go with the flow.
JJBC - What is one thing you think sets you
apart from other authors?
MB - Um ... nothing? We're all neurotic messes
who drink too much caffeine, check our Amazon
stats 32,000 times a day, Facebook about the
half bag of chips we ate for lunch, and ignore
housework in favor of fixing Chapter 3 and
Chapter 7 and that one scene on page 281.
My children no longer bother asking what's for
dinner is all I'm sayin'.
Your Books:
JJBC - Can you share with us what you are
currently working on?
MB - The first book in my new young adult series,
the Reaper Diaries, which will be out in 2012 from Harlequin Teen.
I'm writing about a zombie-making teenager named
Molly Bartolucci, who is tapped by the ancient
god Anubis to become a reaper.
book ever published?
MB - Sure! DADDY IN TRAINING was
a romantic comedy published by Hard Shell
Word Factory in 1999. Readers can still
download it from either Amazon
or Barnes & Noble.
JJBC - Can your share with us your most
recent release, or a soon to be release?
MB - NEVER AGAIN is the first book in my new
Wizards of Nevermore series. It's about a cursed
witch named Lucinda Rackmore who, as last
desperate measure, approaches her
ex-brother-in-law for help.
JJBC - What has been your favorite book you have
written so far? why is this one your favorite?
MB - I would have to say NEVER AGAIN, and
then MUST LOVE LYCANS. I really liked writing
both of these stories, and I hope readers enjoy the darker
side of romantic fiction in the Wizards of Nevermore series,
and the return to quirky paranormal fun in the
Broken Heart series.

JJBC - Do you have a link to your book list?
MB - It's on my home page: http://www.michelebardsley.com/

This series looks good. You are a new author to me but I hope to pick up some of you books soon. Looks like something I would definitely like. Do you find it easier writing adult of young adult. Do enjoy writing one more than then the other?

I cannot wait to meet at AAD! This will be my second year going. Never Again sounds fantastic!
Never Again sounds like a fantastic story - I love it when a character has to turn to someone they'd rather not when they're desperate, especially when it involves witches and sexy wizards.
Barbed1951(at)aol(dot)com
The Wizards of Nevermore looks to be a great series! I'd love to be entered to win Never Again.

I'm loving the cover, really, I'm drooling over here :) I need him to be sitting on my shelf with my other hotties :) Your a new author for me, but I've seen your name around and have your books on my TBR. Thanks for popping in here and reminding me how much I want to start your books. This sounds amazing and I can't wait to get ahold of it and though sometimes a good book may get lost in my massive TBR list, I'm glad for this interview to remind me what the next books I am going to buy off that list are
