May 23, 2011
So today we have a fab treat you! today is
"Finish the Scene Day"
And the wonderful
Author Laurie Hunsaker
has provided the starter!
Gavyn Buchanan was tired of pretending to be someone else. He had travelled to this new time looking for one thing-a mate.
His clan needed him to break the curse, and the one woman who could do that would be here, at this Highland Games so far from his own time. And he’d failed. The one thing he needed, he could not have. Gavyn stood by the remnants of his castle and surveyed the land. If he could break the curse, his castle would stand through to this time, but for now, it was in ruins. His castle wasn’t the only thing that had changed-he wore a modern “t-shirt” and “kilt.” He missed his plaid and leine, but he didn’t miss the appreciative glances thrown his way by many a woman. All but the one he needed. His gaze bored into her, but she stood apart from the Games without turning his direction. Fate had granted him this one woman, this one chance, and she didn’t want him? How could he return to his clan without her? As a failure? He straightened up. Nay. He’d take her back with him, if he had to abduct her as his kinsman of old had done, he would. Gavyn strode towards her.
Kylie Grant sneaked looks at Gavyn from beneath her lashes. He stood, hands loose, ready for anything. She’d never met a man who looked like him. Electric blue eyes, covered with shades, and a super hot leather kilt. It should be a crime to look like he did in a kilt. He stared down at the Games as if he owned the place. Kylie could almost believe he was a laird from a cursed clan, but he’d gone on to tell her that he was from the 1700s...yeah right.
She sneaked another look at Gavyn only to see he’d started walking towards her. Well, walking was too tame a word for him. He stalked her, like a predator, and she was his prey. Eyes wide, Kylie backed away, but he caught her, gripping the back of her neck. She had a feeling if he truly wanted her, there would be no escape.
“You are mine, Kylie. ‘Tis fated, and I’ll no’ leave without you.”
Gavyn crushed his lips to hers, his tongue slipping between her lips to thrust inside…

9 Hottie Follwers Thoughts:
She couldn't help herself, she started to giggle forcing him to break the kiss. "Gavyn, really? I’m yours. I don’t think so but thanks for the laugh.” As she turned to move away he wrapped his hand around her upper arm.
“Lass, I am sorry. I must save my clan and you must come with me if I am to succeed.” His voice was raw with emotion, his hand tightened slightly on her arm.
Oh great, she thought, now he thinks I can help him save his clan. Why do I always attract the whack jobs? “Listen, Gavyn. I would love to spend time with you and get to know you better but I just don’t see a future for us. I have to return home in a couple of days and you…” she trailed off before she told him he should probably be in an asylum.
“Kylie, I know that you don’t believe that what I say is true. ’Tis a hard thing to prove but I swear it is true. My clan, our clan, willna survive if I don’t bring you back with me. ‘Tis an old curse that I must break. What I offer is simply this, meet me here tomorrow at this time. I will be able to show you the gateway then and we can discuss more about this,” he gestured between them seeming to indicate that they were together.
“Sure, I’ll meet you back here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel so we can talk. Now, please let go of my arm. People are staring.”
He looked puzzled but nodded his head in agreement.
She turned to walk away, this time he let her leave. She, of course, had no plans to actually return, she just wanted to get away from him and the “thing” between them. He knew she had no plans to return but that was fine because he had every intention of following her.
She was afraid but she'd be damned if she let him know this. She wanted him as badly as he claimed to want her yet she pushed him away. She was not going to be toyed with.
That's when she saw something in his eyes - just briefly a flash of sadness and regret.
He reached for her and she smacked his hand away. "Tell me NOW what this is all about," Kylie said to him. Stunned and amazed by her strength, still he couldn't tell her.
Gavyn knew she wouldn't come with him without him throwing her a bone and he really didn't want to abduct her. He wanted her willing in some many ways.
He pushed back the aching desire for her, and said "We are in need of your assistance. Come along."
Nothing like an order to piss her off. But her curiosity was blinding her judgement. "Stick it buddy! You can just go to hell!" And with that Gavyn clamped his arms around her, threw her over his shoulder and took off.
Sorry I can't write my way out of a paper bag. With all the reading I do you'd think I would be better at this. Oh well, at least I tried.

"- Kyle, you fell asleep while reading again!
- Oh, mom!"
Sorry, I can read English but I'm not very sure about my writing level.

"Well, okay. If you say so." Kylie said breathlessly.
Eh, I am so not a writer/story-teller. But I read a LOT and would love to get my hands on this story (or rather, get this story on my kindle)

She immediately felt weak. Wow he knew how to use that tongue of his. She thought. Wait what was she thinking? He was a mad man. She could not fall for his sweet kisses. She pulled away from him. “What are you doing? I told you I am not going with you.” She said staring up at him. He had a strong grip around her arms by now. “Oh, but you will, lass.” He said smiling down at her. He started pulling her back up the hill he came from. Still a little stunned from the kiss he gave her, she started to stumble. He caught her. Threw her over his shoulder and kept on walking in one swift move. “We must go. Time is not on our side.”
Oh crap now she was in for it. She tried to wiggle out of his grip. “This is insane! You are not from 1700s. How about we just take you over to the hospital? I’m sure someone there can help you. You probably just hit your head or something.” Getting closer to the ruble of rocks laying everywhere, he looked around. He must have been ignoring her, because he didn’t say a word. He just started kicking stones around on the ground like he was looking for something.
Gavyn knew it was here somewhere. It had to be. If he could get this woman to hold still for a moment he could do a much better job at moving the stones. But he knew if he let her down she would run. He just needed to think for a moment. He closed his eyes and pictured his castle. Ah yes, now he saw it. He opened his eyes, walked a little to the left, reached down and moved a stone. In the ground was a circle of bronze. It had what appeared to be some kind of ancient lettering on it. He reached to inside of the waistband of his kilt and pulled out a knife.
Kylie saw him pull out a knife. This guy was really insane. How was she going to get out of this? “What are you doing?” She said as she started to struggle even more. “Don’t worry lass. I’m going to show you where I come from.” Before she knew what was happening, she was standing on the ground and Gavyn had sliced open his hand. He pulled her close to him as the blood dropped down on something shiny on the ground. The world started spinning. Everything became blurry and within seconds it all stopped. “Now lass, take a look around.” She struggled to gain her balance. She reached out to grab something. Her hand landed on something cold and hard. She looked over and then up. “Where the hell did that come from?”
There next to them was a castle. Oh no. Maybe she was the one going crazy.
Sorry hope its not to long. I just kinda got carried away with it.

Passion possessed her, without thinking she matched his thrusting tongue and gave it all she had. Ridiculous as it seemed, she kept kissing him. He was stunned and pushed her away from him without letting go of her arms.
The sunlight was shinning down on her head and she licked her swollen lips as if to taste him once more.
"I am sure I should be scared of you." Kylie said. "But when a man kisses you like that it sort of blocks all common sense for a second. And my Momma always said I lacking in that department when it came to men."
Gavyn gave her a quizzical look and said in a voice almost to soft to be heard, "Lass, I am no' common man."
"Tell you what", Kylie said, "I'll give you 10mins to explain...."
Before the words came out of her mouth shot sounded. The Games became a rolling stampede of people.
Gavyn grabbed Kylie, picked her up and started running. He ran as hard as he could away from the people and the madness that had become entirely out of control.
"Put me down! I swear to God, I'll scream!"
Gavyn kept running and all at the same time, tried to keep her from beating him in the head.
"Go ahead and scream, no one will hear you. I am taking you away from this, away from all of this and you, Lass, will come whether you like it or not!"
