HOTTIE of the Month
Brendon Clark |
Brendon Clark from the Professional Bull Riders tour, who is the man I used as the inspiration for my bull rider hero, Brady Parrish, from book one of my Buckin' Broncos series, Collision
Known to PBR fans as the “Australian Sensation,” Brendon Clark burst into the elite Built Ford Tough Series during the 2003 season. Clark has made a name for himself ever since by consistently placing in the top ten at PBR events. He won his first event in August of 2004 in Oklahoma City.
Over the last five years Clark has evolved into one of the sports leading profiles with guest appearances on the Versus television network commentary team, as well as being one of the main bull riders used to promote the sport of professional bull riding in the USA and back in his home land of Australia. His knowledge and ability to promote this sport, as well as his professional approach is second to none, which is one of the main reasons fans and media look to Clark for photos, autographs and interviews.
In his time on the PBR Tour Clark has accumulated close to $800,000 in winnings and is one of the top rated Australian riders on the World Tour. As a testament to his success, he has seen the PBR establish his own International event in his hometown of Newcastle, N.S.W., the Brendon Clark Invitational.

Saturday Delights
Zucchini Patties
Since we all have a million zucchini littering up our fridges I thought now would be a good time for this recipe. It's really easy and delicious!
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups grated zucchini
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup all-purpose flour1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
salt to taste
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
DIRECTIONS:
1.In a medium bowl, combine the zucchini, eggs, onion, flour, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and salt. Stir well enough to distribute ingredients evenly.
2.Heat a small amount of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Drop zucchini mixture by heaping tablespoonfuls, and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden.
Wednesday W’s?!?
What is your favorite hero's name?
MY ANSWER: I think my favorite hero is Marcus, Lord Westcliffe, from Lisa Kleypas' It Happened One Autumn. So the short answer is Marcus. The long answer is Marcus, Lord Westcliffe. I think he had a bunch of other names too, but Marcus does it for me...
Cassandra Carr
My current release, Talk to Me, has been named a Top Pick by The Romance Reviews and Night Owl Reviews, and took second place in the erotic romance category of the More Than Magic published authors' contest. Here's a blurb:
Talk to Me
Radio producer Jamie MacMahon is in over her head with ex-hockey player-turned host Drew Milan. She's attracted to the man who earned the nickname “the Beast” during his playing days from the moment they meet, but he's her boss and she loves her new job. She's made plenty of mistakes with men and loathes the thought of being yet another plaything for Drew, a man who sleeps with women but doesn't date them.
Drew doesn't want to lose a great producer and knows Jamie deserves a real relationship, but can't stay away from the sizzling chemistry they create every time they're together. Jamie's insecurities and the very real prospect of having to leave a great job if this thing doesn't work out, coupled with Drew's fears about opening his heart and the possibility of losing his first competent producer clash.
My next release, Caught, will be published by Loose Id in December 2011. I'm hoping to have good news about the bull rider series and a hockey menage series soon too! 29 Hottie Follwers Thoughts:
I don't have a favorite name but I do love strong names and for some reason have a leaning towards biblical names like Noah and Jacob. But I do love these names Bones. Its such a great name for a vamp lol.
scrtsbpal at yahoo dot com
Love your pick Cassandra, the Wallflower series is a great one, and Marcus was a great character in the series.
For me it would have to be Colin Gyth from Cynthia Eden's HOTTER AFTER MIDNIGHT :)
mharper1023@gmail.com
The first romance books I read that were not YA were P.C. Cast's Divine series... So ClanFintan will always be the most special! Love that name!(and later, Clint, of course) :)
west.danielle.r(at)gmail(dot)com
I have to say my favorite Hero name is Acheron or Ash from the Dark Hunter Series by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
vampiremistress2010(at)gmail(dot)com
Lately Tegan has been sticking in my head. Guess he wins out :).
vsloboda(at)gmail(dot)com
Pam,
Love Noah and Jacob. I haven't used either yet, though the hero of my December release is named Jack. I'll have to use Noah soon (hmmm...)
Thanks for stopping by!

Michelle,
Love the name Colin! I haven't used that one yet either, but I certainly intend to at some point.
BTW, Marcus is the name of the hero in the novella I started today. ;-)
Thanks for playing!

Danielle,
Clint is awesome! I'll have to keep that one in mind for one of my bull rider books! Thanks for coming by!
-- Cassandra
BLHmistress,
Interesting choices. I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of hard-to-pronounce names. Ash is clever, though, as there are some men named Ashley. I could actually see calling a REALLY Alpha hero Ash just to see if I could get away with it!
Thanks for stopping by!
-- Cassandra
Victoria,
Tegan. Huh. I don't think I've ever heard that name. Intriguing.
Thanks for answering!
-- Cassandra
I'm glad you like it Cassandra. I think it's either Irish or Scottish.
Boo hiss!!!!What's with the shirt on Brandon?!? I thought there was a rule hotties must be shirtless.
Well, I guess I'll have to use my imagination, but I'm sure it's not as good as the real thing.
I have always like Alexander. That was the name of the hero in the first bodice ripper I remember reading Lord Alexander Trevelyan.
I like the name Drew too, cat #1 is Drew and cat #3 (of 3, I'm not a wacky cat lady)is Alex.
Anne,
I agree with you about Drew. As you can see from the blurb, my hero's name is Drew. I've always liked it way more than Andy.
Sorry about Brandon's shirt. I tried to rip it off him, but dammit, he thwarted me every time!
Alex is a good name too. I need to start writing these down!

Cassandra, your book sounds very intriguing!!! Gonna have to check it out!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! :-) My fav hero's name is Wrath from the J.R. Ward's BDB series!! Her characters have very interesting names!!! :-)
jfort357(at)bellsouth(dot)net
JFort,
Wrath? That's AWESOME. Probably not right for my heroes, but still totally awesome...
Thanks for coming by!

For a scottish story I like Liam. For a contemporary I like Nathan.
Thanks for the recipe.
koonie2888 at yahoo dot com
Michelle,
Liam is a good name. I have an unfinished MS w/a hero named Nathan, but everyone calls him Nate. Excellent choices - thanks for playing today!

Hmmm... My favorite Hero is Iron Man because well.. hes just really hot! And I think my favorite book hero would have to be John Creed.
ruby95660[at]yahoo[dot]com
I love the names Ian, Quinn and Connall. Scottish Highlanders is what I think of. :)

Hi!
My all-time favourite is Bones from the Night Huntress series, mainly because he's hot - I mean, HOT xD -, he really loves Cat, he's sexy, roamntic and strong. I can't get enough of him!
But I also love Vlad from Night Huntress as well, and Zaddist from Black Dagger Brotherhood, and Sabine from the Lords of the Underworld :)
Thank you for the giveaway,
mikki-mano@hotmail.com
Ruby,
I love Iron Man, though I wasn't a big fan of the sequel.
Thanks for coming by!
-- Cassandra
Carol,
Quinn is good. I have to confess I've never heard the name Connall. Very intriguing!
Thanks for playing!
-- Cassandra
Vojalyn,
Wow, those are some interesting names! I can't imagine naming one of my heroes Bones, but mostly because I write really hot erotic romance and that might be taken the wrong way, lol.
Thanks for stopping by!
-- Cassandra
I think my favorite hero is named Reyes. He is from Gena
Showalters series Lord of the underworld. I just love him :)
I will forever and always love the name Liam. It just rolls off the tongue. I've read a few books with Liam as the heroes name but the best by far was Jennifer Ashley's Pride Mates.

I don't really have a favorite...as long as the name fits the charecter. It can't be forced like just because the lead is a witch her name should be Wren.
